This REDCap plugin can be used to convert a Qualtrics form into a REDCap data dictionary.
Not everything will be included in the conversion. For instance, branching logic and field validation can't be converted, and some field types don't exist in REDCap. Also, the plugin was created based on some sample surveys, so if your survey does something that none of those sample surveys did, then it will probably be ignored.
For each block in your Qualtrics survey, a 'Begin new section' field will be created in the REDCap instrument. Feel free to delete them if you don't want them.
IMPORTANT: Remember that uploading a data dictionary REPLACES EVERYTHING in the project, it doesn't just add it to what's already there, so don't do it in a project that already has other forms that you want to keep.
After you save the data dictionary file that this page creates, go to the Data Dictionary page in a project in REDCap and upload the data dictionary there.
If you want to add the form to an existing project, then, after you upload the data dictionary and get it cleaned up, you can use the 'Choose action' / 'Download instrument ZIP' option on the online designer page to create a file that you can use in another project to ADD the form to that project using 'Upload instrument ZIP file from another project/user or external libraries' on the online designer page.
To get a qsf file from a Qualtrics survey, while you are in the project in Qualtrics, select Tools / Export Survey from the menu.
This will create and save a file with a qsf extension. Open that file in a text editor such as Notepad or Wordpad, select all of the text and copy it.
Then paste that text into the field below and click on the 'Create Data Dictionary' button.
