The National Research Mentoring Network (NRMN) is an NIH-funded project to develop and provide substantially expanded mentoring and coaching for aspiring young scientists with an overall mission to increase the diversity of the scientific workforce. One element of NRMN, the Professional Development Core (PDC) is focused primarily on the scientific development period from late doctoral training through early faculty years. A variety of professional development resources and programs will be developed and deployed, but one of the first is intensive coaching on writing of research and career development proposals. Four different but complimentary successful models for guiding development of grant writing skills have been developed at four participating PDC centers. These models have been deployed nationally to sciencitists from a variety of health science disciplices.

NRMN seeks experienced faculty members to advise mentees on the scientific and methodology contents of their proposals. There are three different categories of involvement: 1. Scientific/Methodology Consultant, 2. Scientific/Methodology Coach, and 3. Proposal Review.

Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis. Applicants will be notified if their application has been accepted and entered into the database for future engagement.
